Dr. Alvaro Acosta grew up in Nassau County where he received a full scholarship for playing on the NCAA Division 2 Men's Soccer Team. Now, Dr. Acosta is working at Physical Therapy Works in Manhasset, and when he is not treating patients he enjoys playing sports and activities with his 3 children.
“I believe in the value of patient education and constant
communication with patients and referring physicians. Being a good therapist
means being able to think outside the box and be creative with treatments
plans, ergonomic assessment and training. My main goal is to help each patient
heal and return to their usual activities, including work, sports and hobbies.
The personal reward I get from helping so many people is far greater than I
ever thought it would be.”
